We are aware that due to COVID-19 pandemic asylum seekers both in the UK and across the world are being further disadvantaged and impacted. Many children, families and individuals seeking asylum are still sadly lacking the key items that they require to keep safe and warm.
Our World Collective is committed to continue to operate and collect donations during this period of time, however, We are implementing the following measures to protect the health of our volunteers our donors and our charity partners:
When collecting donations:
Dropping off donations:
We ask that donation drop-offs are pre-arranged.
Please place your donation outside the door and ring the doorbell/knock on the door to let us know you have arrived and then step back to maintain a 2m distance. If possible, please wear a face covering.
We will come to the door and collect your donation, sanitising our hands after handling the donation bags/boxes/containers.
Please DO NOT bring donations for drop off, or arrange a collection if you have any COVID-19 symptoms such dry continious cough, sore throat or fever, are awaiting a COVID-19 test result, or have been asked by the NHS track and trace service or any other party to self-isolate,
If you have previously organised a donation and then develop symptoms or need to self isolate we will be happy to rearrange once suitable to do so.
Sorting donations:
Prior to any organising or sorting any donations, we ensure that all donations are quarantined. We will be observing all our charity partners requirements as part of their COVID-19 protocol.
Please ensure that you observe any current government guidelines and advice.
Our community continues to operate despite the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown.
We are taking a variety of different precautions to ensure the safety of our donors, volunteers and partner charities. Read more about these in our COVID-19 section.
