Cambridge Convoy Refugee Action Group (CAMCRAG) is a registered charity (1170180) who send regular convoys of volunteers and aid from the Cambridge region to help refugees in Europe. CAMCRAG are where Our World Collective began. CAMCRAG were the original charity we decided to collect items for in our first donation drive. We love the work that CAMCRAG do, they are a local charity to us and we look forward to sending them many more donations.

We first got involved with Refugee Women's Centre during our first donation drive. We received so many generous donations of women's clothing so we got in contact with the Refugee Women's Centre to help us get the items to where they were needed. They are doing fantastic work providing holistic support to women and families who are without shelter in Northern France and we can't wait to direct donations to them.

We are so pleased we found Hope and Aid Direct. As our ideas for Our World Collective developed, we identified that we really wanted to help asylum seekers in Greece and the Greek Islands. We just needed a way to get items out there, this is how we found Hope and Aid Direct. We are really looking forward to adding to the amazing donations they make to NGO’s in Greece and the Greek Islands as well as to other areas in need when required.

The Refugee Info Bus provide a variety of different services to asylum seekers across Northern France, Greece and the UK. A key service they provide is to support asylum seekers to access WiFi, phone charging and, if needed, the handsets themselves, they also provide legal information. Whilst this may sound like a luxury, phone and internet access is a necessity if you want to be able to communicate with your solicitor to claim asylum and be able to keep in contact with your family. We are proud "phone champions", collecting handsets that can be shared with, or donated to, those that need them.

We think that its really important that we support organisations in the UK as well as abroad. Sarah first became involved with Give Your Best UK through their founder, Sol, and continues to think this is an amazing organisation supporting asylum seeking women in the UK. Providing a shopping experience for these women, rather than being forced to rely on donations which they have not chosen. Any donations we receive which may not be suitable for refugee camps will be directed to Give Your Best UK. We also help their shoppers by providing clothing for babies and children if they need these items.
